Group leader; Professor in Analytical Chemistry
Tonda joined the team in July 2010. He focuses on MALDI MS imaging, the development of novel techniques for imaging of positional isomers of lipids, and searching for new MALDI matrices. Among his other interests are imaging of single nanoparticles, synthesis of nanoparticles, detection of volatile organic compounds, ICP MS, and DLTV. In his other life, he is a swordsman and illustrator.
Jarda joined the team in the summer of 2021 as part of his PhD studies. His research interests include the use of nanoparticles for imaging mass spectrometry, design of ablation cells for ICP MS and scanning electron microscopy. In his spare time, he enjoys practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Vilda joined the team during his bachelor's studies in Biochemistry in 2019. His main interests in the field include instrumentation, immunochemistry and applications of nanoparticles for mass spectrometry imaging. In his spare time, he is an avid hiker in the mountains.
Monika joined the group in 2020. Her bachelor thesis focused on lipid analysis and MS imaging. She is currently working on the analysis of volatiles by MS.
Anna joined the team in 2022 at the beginning of her bachelor's studies. She focuses on the immunochemical labeling and the application nanoparticles for mass spectrometry imagining.
Jakub joined our group through his individual project in 2022. He deals with determination of bromine on a silver nanosensor using LDI MS. In his spare time, he enjoys sports and history of military and strategy.
Petr became a member of the group in 2022 during his individual project and bachelors thesis. His focus is the determination of transport efficiency of gold nanoparticles of LA ICP and SEM and the preparation of samples of small volumes. In his free time he plays sports such as basketball and volleyball, likes to travel, is interested in F1 and is a devoted fan of band Tool.
Filip has joined the group in the autumn semester 2022 as a part of his bachelor's studies. He mostly focuses on IR laser ablation of different materials coupled with ICP-MS.
Kate joined the group during third semester of her bachelor's studies in year 2022. Mainly, she does MALDI MS Imaging. Apart from school, she attends a folklore dance ensemble.
Michal joined the team as part of his student professional activity in 2020. He is interested in lipid imaging using MALDI MSI.He reads books in his spare time.
Ján has joined the group in the autumn of 2022 after previous studies of forensic chemistry in Slovakia. He works with imaging of nanoparticles via LDI TOF MS. Reading books, hiking, cycling and playing tennis are activities that he fills his spare time with.
Dominika joined the team in spring 2019. She works on the Paternò–Büchi reaction for MALDI MSI of isomers in lipids and in her Bachelor thesis she focuses on optimization of a new method in imaging.
Michal has been in the group since 2020 as part of his doctoral studies. He deals with the application of nanoparticles for mass spectrometry imaging using MALDI and ICP-MS methods. In his free time, he enjoys sports and meeting friends.
Adela joined the team in the autumn of 2021. She is focused on immunochemistry and application of nanoparticles for mass spectrometry imaging. In her free time, she loves hiking and reading books.
Marek participated in an individual project in our group in 2014. His work deals with fundamentals of SALD for sample introduction into ICP MS and with individual nanoparticle imaging using ICP MS.
Vadym joined our group in the beginning of 2020. Having a background in physics, he gradually switched from plasma physics and surface characterization to production of nanomaterials and nanosurfaces and its employment in LDI MS. He is interested in the fundamentals of nanoparticle-analyte interactions and their applications in MS imaging.
Jiří is in our group since 2018. He aims on separation techniques. After capillary electrophoresis with laser-induced fluorescence detection, he focuses on speciation of arsenic compounds using TLC-DLTV ICP MS.
Lenka joined the team in 2020 at the beginning of her master's studies. She focuses on the immunochemical binding of nanoparticles and the application of nanoparticles for mass spectrometry imagining. In her free time she loves sports, travel and volunteering helps in Water Rescue Service Brno-město.
Jan joined our team in spring 2019. He investigates application of an internal standard in MALDI MSI.
Jiří joined our team in 2019; he will study transport efficiency of nanoparticles in SP ICP MS. He enjoys playing in a black metal band and composing electronic music in his leisure time.
Stanislava became member of our team in 2018. She is interested in mass spectrometry imaging of biological samples.
Martin joined our team with an individual project in 2017.
František joined our team with in 2015 and since then, he focuses on nanoparticle analysis using sp-ICP MS.
Iva recieved her diploma at Biochemistry Department, MU. After carrying out her master thesis in the field of molecular biology, she joined the group in June 2010. She was involved in most projects of the group, especially off-line coupling of CE to MALDI and ICP MS and applications of nanoparticles in MS. She contributed substantially to making these webpages. Curently, she is on maternity leave.
Marketa came to us from Palacky University in August 2015. In her diplome thesis, she worked on LC-MS analysis of phosphatidylcholines in human plasma. The topic of her dissertation is MALDI mass spectrometry imaging of 3D cell cultures.
Jakub participated in an individual project in our group from fall 2015.
Katka joined the team in February 2012 after finishing her MSc in Healthcare bioanalytics at Faculty of Pharmacy at Charles University. Her diploma thesis covered HPLC method development for separation of active substances in nutraceuticals. Currently, she is on maternity leave.
Dominika studies the field of Analytical Biochemistry. The topic of her thesis is sample preparation for MALDI MS imaging.
Daniela studied sample preparation for MS imaging during her MSc studies.
Ondra finished his MSc in our team studying HPLC coupled to MALDI and SALD ICP MS for analysis of metallothioneins.
Adam studied the Se speciation using CE-MS in his bachelor thesis. In his master thesis, he participated in the MALDI mass spectrometry imaging project.
Blanka joined the team after graduation in Chemistry at Faculty of Chemistry, Brno University of Technology. The topic of her PhD thesis was "Separation techniques and mass spectrometry for analysis of bioactive components". Beside her research activities, she also performed MS analyses for the Chemistry Department.
Vendula joint us in 2015. She studied lipid analyses using SALDI MS with silver nanoparticles and LC.
Kristína joined the team during her bachelor studies in 2013. She studied laser induced protein and peptide photooxidation and analyzed selected lipids with SALDI MS employing silver nanoparticles.
Kristýna joined the team during her bachelor studies. In her diploma work she studied the potential od SALD ICP MS for nanoparticle characterization.
